The Border Plan For Iraq
America has given the gift of freedom and democracy to Iraq. The Iraqi people have used that gift to start a civil war. The people of Iraq are ruining our efforts to help them and they are placing our troops in jeopardy. We have a right to be disgusted with them for causing this debacle. For the historical record, I would like to hear President Bush publicly chastise the Iraqi people for the unwise direction they are going and that it is now causing us to develop a new military strategy for Iraq.
I would like to see the new strategy move the majority of our troops to the border of Iraq and seal it so that no outside influences can enter or exit the country. A smaller striker force could be used to assist the Iraqi army when necessary. We would continue to provide military training and equipment to the Iraqi army but they would be responsible for the defense of the interior of their country.
In short, the American troops would be used to patrol the border of Iraq and the Iraqi troops would be used to patrol the interior.
